Come build the future in Panama...
Hola from Panama! We are inviting you down to Panama to help renovate Casa Paraiso. Casa Paraiso is an old wooden building on the banks of the Panama Canal that once housed PCC workers. The building was purchased by two friends of ours with the intent of converting half of it into a missions base and the other half into private residences for missionaries, including the Cottons. The missions base will house short term mission groups as they arrive and depart from Panama City. It will also be used as the meeting place of Christian Surfers Panama, which will begin in January. Most of the materials will be funded privately, but we are hoping that people will come and donate their time and labor to the project.
Check out the video here.
Dates – Friday, October 24 – Sunday, November 1st
Cost – Airfare (there have been some very cheap rates lately) I recently saw the Continental non-stop flight 887 from Newark to Panama for $333. Expenses – most likely just gas and food so figure airfare plus $200 (this should be brought by each missionary)
Purpose – Support and enhance the CS missions work that has been going on for the last 5yrs in Panama and support the Cottons.
Needs – Skilled workers who can frame, do electrical, plumbing, painting, etc… and just hard workers who can take direction. Donation of money and/or materials and tools to the effort.
Locations – Panama City and Paraiso: Paraiso is a 7min drive from the Gunn Residence in PTY. We will take some fun day trips and are planning a short trip to follow up and surf in Santa Catalina
